This eye catching 1969 Plymouth GTX, 2-door hardtop is just in. It comes to you in Scorch Red, and a rare Silver vinyl interior with bucket seats and a center console. Powering this muscle car is a numbers matching 440ci. Super Commando V-8, which now puts out close to 600hp. This GTX has a 440 Source Stroker Kit, a forged steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, is bored .030 over for approximately 502 cubic inches. It has an Edelbrock 800 CFM, 4-barrel carb, mated to a factory Hurst 4-speed manual transmission. The Track Pack option was required when getting a 4-speed transmission. GTX’s came with simulated woodgrain trim panels, floor carpeting, roof drip-rail moldings, custom body sill moldings, arm rests with ash trays, AM radio, 150mph speedometer, and dual horns. Now to the important things. GTX’s came with anti-sway bars, firm-ride shocks, heavy-duty rear suspension, heavy-duty front torsion bar, heavy-duty brakes, and a heavy duty battery. Does all of the heavy-duty equipment give you an idea of the purpose of this vehicle? GTX’s cost about $3,400 when new, and weighed about 3,400lbs. This GTX is as clean on the bottom as it is on the top. Hurry up, as it won’t last long.
