Brighton Motorsports is pleased to present this 1966 Shelby Cobra replica, complete with a rare “Le Mans” removable hardtop. Built by B&B Manufacturing in Missouri, famous for their signature double-wall fiberglass as well as dropped floor to accommodate taller drivers. This custom built roadster was factory completed only 9 months ago and it has just 1,990 miles. The engine is a professionally built Ford 302 coupled to a T5 5-speed manual transmission. This is a rare "turn-key" car built entirely at the factory, including drive train. The engine has been carefully broken-in, the oil changed twice including Comp-Cams additive, freshly tuned, and it runs and sounds incredible! The classic Gaurdsman blue paint combined with the bold white racing stripes is true to the legend. Add to that all the desirable options including ceramic coated side pipes and body louvers, American Racing Shelby Cobra polished aluminum wheels, Cobra badging, wind-wings, tinted visors, windshield wipers, aluminum over-riders, headlight screens, fire extinguisher, Faria gauges, T-handle shifter with billet aluminum Cobra shifter knob, heater, de-misters, 5-point racing seatbelts, Cobra floor mats, Cobra valve covers, Cobra oval air-cleaner, Clear Bra rear fender protectors, aluminum radiator, electric fan, adjustable coil-over shocks, disc brakes, Holley carburetor, MSD ignition, and tubular front-end. Also includes an aluminum nose-cowl shroud and oil cooler with braided lines for just the right touch of "modern." This is the ultimate Cobra "head turner." The Ford 302 delivers the perfect amount of power. As the documentary book "Cobra" explains, “…The 427 engine never enjoyed the popularity with the Shelby American employees that the 289 did.” And the 289's won the bulk of the trophies compared to the 427's. The fact is, it's all about power-to-weight ratio, and at roughly 2,300lbs, this car offers perfect handling with a lighter, powerful 302 engine (not nose heavy), runs cooler, is easier to work on, and has higher reliability. This car was built for the owner who wants a car that can be driven instead of garage art. It is a perfect replication of the 427 SC body, with the classic "427 Ford Cobra" badging above the louvers with a big engine sound from the side pipes. Own and drive this car and be one of the very few to ever experience the legend. "When we began building the Cobra in 1962, we had no idea what we were starting. Who knew that it would grow into the legend that it is today. Hell, I just thought we were building a few production cars to finance racing." -- Carroll Shelby Price just reduced from $48,500 - this one will not last! If you're searching for no-excuses Cobra - this is the car!
